Recently I found out that my sister has bone cancer. First they found a brain tumor, and after running tests they also found out she has bone cancer. They are saying that the tumor is a malignant melanoma. My sister is only 29 and has dealt w/ hardships her entire life. Her mother (we only share the same dad) drank heavily while she was pregnant and when she was born she didn't recieve oxygen for too long which resulted in brain damage. She is not retarded but she has problems w/ motor skill and speech. I guess I'm just wondering what anyone can tell me about bone cancer, are there treatment options, and how long is someone w/ bone cancer expected to live? Thanks I'm not sure if I was right about the malignant melanoma wording or not but either way she has a brain tumor

so my dad was just diagnosed with bone cancer and i was wondering if it can be passed down? and what are the symptoms? im 16 year old female if that helps my dad had hodgkins non lymphoma b4 he got bone cancer....is hodgkins non lymphoma genetic?

My aunt who is a wondeful person has had skin cancer and breast cancer, has now been told that she has bone cancer. This explains why her bones keep breaking and now totally healing. I know that there is not a cute for this. How long does she have to live? Is there any type of treatments that can help? She has 3 kids, 6 brothers and sisters, and her mother is still alive. All of them would be deeply affected by her loss. I feel horrible about it. Especially since we recieved the news right after Christmas. What can I do to show support to her and my father (her brother)?

haS THIS EVER HAPPENED TO ANYONE BEFORE? if you tell me to see a doctor,i will ASAP, but right now we're on vacation, and i cant see a doctor. anyway . . . I'm 14, and basically, i hae pain on my hip. Im not sure if itsmy hips, morelike my pelvis? *sorry i dont know much about the name* But itsnearthe bone on my thigh. like the hip on the left side.If i sep on it it was KILL me, and even just touching it hurtslike hell. it hurts as if a very bad bruise would hurt. It's been coming and going *the pain* tree years ago, it hytone night that i woek up. then. it kinda stoped the year after , and its here again. I told my doctor, and we got an x-ray for it, and it was nothing, but it hurts a LOT right now. Lastnight i felt as if it was numb, and its swelled upa bit.So i decided to search about Bone cancer. | started crying becase it seemed really as though i had cancer. then igot to the side affects of it,and it said loss of hair which got me 10 x more scared. At first when i had the pain my momkept saying : oh your growing... its cause your growing., but now its SWELLED UP. well its not THAT big, its just a teeeny bit bigger than my other hipbone.
